Digital Placemaking
Whether you are interested in new public spaces, mainstreet revitalization, creative arts, updating your innovation district, or stepping out with a new Smart City project or living lab, iNeighborhood’s Digital Placemaking program has a Place for you.
By making use of an inclusive, community tailored engagement and ecosystem planning process, we begin to merge local culture, history, and creative arts, with relevant graphics, media, and technology. This will get your initiative up and rolling in no time at all, and create the community attraction you are looking for.
Furthermore, Digital Placemaking can also scale and grow amongst adjacent areas or buildings as the engagement process matures.

Features
Streaming and Graphics
Photos, graphics, creative arts, floor or street drawings, or maps, can be used as the foundation to bring your Place to life.
Any of these can be linked to a live video stream, a recorded video, or other forms of creative media or arts. A wide variety of camera types can also be utilized to capture the look and feel of your Place whether bullet cameras, fixed or mobile dome, 180 degree panoramic or 360 degree fisheye. Privacy options.
Sensor Data
We can also harvest sensor data relevant to your Place. This is called Internet of Things or IoT.
We use small, rugged outdoor or indoor sensor devices which can capture some of the qualities or attributes of your location. Applications include environmental, education, retail, public health, creative arts, economic development, tourism, transportation, safety, and more. Data can be counted or displayed as a simple On/Off Green/Red condition, or in several different kinds of graphic formats such as a line chart, area chart or a bar chart. This same data can also be used by artists to create unique representations of your place. Historical sensor data can be securely downloaded weekly or daily.
Networks
Our Digital Placemaking product is designed to work with existing mobile devices and 4G or 5G, Wi-Fi or IoT networks. However, if your location would benefit from additional bandwidth, or privacy, we can add 5G CBRS, WiFi6e or IoT to your location. iNeighborhoods is also a 5G CBRS Certified Professional Installer or CPI.
Engagement Process
Our team will work with you to develop a deep understanding of your Place, its ecosystem and culture. Depending upon the size of your project, our team can engage with your stakeholders in a variety of ways. Here is just one example for a medium size project:
a) We will meet with your stakeholders to share our program and it’s features.
b) We will meet with your stakeholders to understand the opportunity, challenges and culture of your target Place.
c) We will walk out your Place, and the surrounding area and neighborhood.
d) From the previous meetings, we will produce a simple next steps document to move your project forward.
e) When ready, we will install an initial digital placemaking solution, or proof of concept POC, to engage and collect community feedback.
f) And finally, we will install the final Digital Placemaking solution which reflects stakeholder and community interests.
